For the first time, the Roman singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has decided to publish the song in both languages, Italian and English.

“Borderline is the right song for those who fold the truth like a napkin: with elegance, of course, but which remains dirty. For those who manage to pass through reality without touching it, with naturalness, that brazen grace that looks so much like a superpower. Or an evolved form of unconsciousness. An archetype, more than a memory. To all those who manage to lie as if nothing had happened. Who hold the point even when the point is emptiness. Always at ease, even when everything around them falls apart” we read in a note. “I wrote Borderline inspired by some figures that pass through our lives like stubborn extras – says The Niro – they wander everywhere, in private life as in the palaces of power, in the family as in the news. Stable figures in the art of denying the evidence, of lying without feeling its weight. Immune to doubt, to guilt, to the slightest internal crack. To them, I wanted to dedicate an anti-hymn. A small trophy of honor to the absence of shame”. Borderline sounds like a light laugh among the rubble and anticipates The Niro’s new album, to be released in autumn 2025.
